Walking to the ring

The camera employed in this scene is the tracking shot and it use the technique of steady cam. The focus it used is the selective focus. It use the focus mainly on Jake LaMotta and the other character are out of focus. The camera first focus on Jake action then it turn into record the audience reaction. This makes the audience learn more about the feelings of Jake and to notice the reaction of the audience.

Entrance to the ring

When Jake enter the ring , the camera used wide angel and telephoto to record the scene. Audience can  understand the atmosphere through this lenses. Panning is used to show the connection between the judges and the boxer. The close-up shot / medium closed-up shot is used to show the relationship of Jake and the women.

The fight 

When both boxer fighting, it uses wide angle to show the area of the arena, slow motion applied to the scene. The audience can easily get involved.

End of the fight

Canted angle is used in this scene to show Jake's opponent loses i this match, because it means that Jake beat down his opponent. Slow motion is used to show the reaction of the opponent and the judge announce who is the winners. It used to show their reactions.

Celebration

Tilt shot is used to tilt the camera angel from low to high angel, this is used to develop the idea of Jake is strong, powerful this kind of idea to the audience.... like the superman the angle used to tilt up to show they are powerful. The extreme close-up show the championship belt is to show that Jake is the winner of the match.
